Ornamental plants and flowers are very attractive and very enthused by the family in Greece in laying houses, office buildings and parks. And recently Indonesia had just followed the 57th exhibition of flowers and ornamental plants 2011, which held by Mayor Kifisia, Athens. And Indonesia has successfully amaze the visitors at the opening of this event.
The exhibition was opened by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Development of Greece, Kostas Skandalidis, attended by 115 participants from various producers of flowers and plants from various regions in Greece, including from abroad.
Secretary of Indonesian Embassy in Athens, Jani Sasanti said Indonesian Embassy in Athens worked with several plant producers who participated in this exhibition, they exhibit and sell plants and flowers that grow in Indonesia, such as Anggrek Bulan/Phalaenopsis or Orchid (Phalaenopis amabilis) and Melati/Jasmine (Jasminum Sambac), and some Indonesian national flowers, Kamboja/Cambodia flowers (Frangipani / Plumeria), Teratai/Lotus flower (Nymphaea), Kantung Semar (Nepenthes) and Palm. These flowers were cultivated by Greece cultivator.
Indonesia's participation aims to introduce Indonesian flora more broadly to the Greek community, and to increase the interest of local businessmen to import flower, fruit and plants from Indonesia. As well as ways to promote Indonesian tourism and culture that rich in various kinds.

Besides exhibiting plants and flower from Indonesia, also displayed Indonesian craft that has received recognition from UNESCO, such as Wayang Indonesia (2003), Keris Indonesia (2005), Batik Indonesia (2009) and Angklung Indonesia from West Java (2010), as well as jetayu bird which became the center of attention of visitors to take pictures in front of it.
Besides introducing that three cultures, the ambassador also introduced the three cultures that are now being registered by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Indonesia to get recognition from UNESCO. That three culturals are Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) as nominees for the protection of cultural space creation, development and education of cultural heritage in Indonesia, Balinese traditional dance and crafts people of Papua, Noken that more scarce and need to get protection.
Besides crafts, Indonesia also displayed traditional masks, a set of mini-gamelan musical instruments, songket and Balinese umbrellas. so that increase the splendor of Indonesia's stand in this exhibition.
