Finally, Ubuntu 11.04 Released !!!

Ubuntu 11.04
As free and open source software, no wonder if ubuntu has developed  so quickly since it was first  released  in October  2004 by Cononical LTD. Ubuntu team are committed to support each release for eighteen months by providing security fixes, patches to critical bugs and minor updates to programs. It was decided that every fourth release, issued on a two-year basis, would receive long-term support (LTS). LTS releases are supported for three years on the desktop and five years on the server.

And last April 28th was the most eagerly awaited day by Ubuntu lovers. Because Ubuntu finally released the  newest  version  of Ubuntu 11.04 officially with name code Natty Narwhal. As we know, Ubuntu is always released new version every 6 months, every April and October each year. Its version number was always include the year and month of release. Such as 2 versions that came out in 2010, they are Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10, and 11.04 that was released in April 2011.

If you want to try it first, you better try 11.04 Alpha in Virtualbox. Although not all features can be obtained from the installation, but maybe you can get some new features as follows:
  1. Unity Desktop
Ubuntu users will get new experience from this new desktop. Actually, this desktop has been  introduced  in the  release  Ubuntu  10.10  Netbook  edition. One thing we need to know is that this unity will use the Compiz window manager and some sort of  indicator  applet  that is included.  We also possible to delete, compose and add application shortcut from the left side navigation bar.
  2. Banshee as Default Music Player
This means that the role rhytmbox replaced by banshee. even though we've long relied rhytmbox as a music player. But don't be sad because it has some good points  as a music player, diataranya Amazon MP3 Support, Video Support, suport Audiobooks for library and metadata that do not owned by rhytmbox.
  3. Libre Office
Not only Rhytmbox that being replaced by Banshee. In office application, Libre Office will replace Open Office. office Libre is a free office application  that can be downloaded and installed free of charge. Support  up to 30  languages. friendly User interface will be able to facilitate the operator  in using such a stable product. We will not have trouble when we had to  switch  from licensed and paid office application like Microsoft Office to Office Libre. Libre Office have a common file format like any other office applications. We can easily to import files from Ms Word, Excel and Power Point for example, and many other formats. Easy to store into the format of Ms Office or other formats.
